120 new gritters for National Highways

Another fleet of Romaquip Ultima II gritters are rolling out across the UK this season.

A total of 120 new Romaquip Ultima II gritting vehicles will be delivered to National Highways this year and will add to their Romaquip fleet of 191 vehicles which have already been delivered since 2018, with another 132 due for delivery next year as part of a two year roll out.

All the gritters are mounted on Volvo chassis and are packed full of new features and will improve driver safety due to the new automated spreading technology and enhanced visibility. The latest Romaquip designed & tested innovations and safety features are also fitted as standard, including the rear chevron board c/w aerodynamic movers which has been designed & fully tested by Romaquip and allows for the safe & accurate spreading at speeds up-to 80kph.

The fleets which are a mixture of pre-wet and combi vehicles can be seen in operation keeping the motorways moving and free of ice and snow all over the UK.

All the vehicles are fully supported by our mobile support engineers who are based all over the UK and they provide full technical on-site support & product training when required.
