Romaquip have arrived at Cold Comfort 2024 in the CBS Arena, Coventry.
We are on stand C60 in the main hall for the two days where you will be able to see for the benefits of our product offerings including the new and improved Ultima II spreader & Plough.
In January Romaquip supplied Monaghan County Council (Ireland) with their new fleet of three spreaders and ploughs.
The new spreaders are all permanent mount Ultima II pre-wet spreaders c/w ploughs mounted on Volvo Trucks FE 6x4 chassis supplied by Irish Commercials.
With continuous growth including the development of new products we will soon be recruiting for a number of new positions.
Last month Romaquip supplied Cork County Council with their new fleet of six spreaders and ploughs.
This new fleet consists of permanent mount Ultima II pre-wet spreaders mounted on Volvo Trucks FE 6x4 chassis c/w Snow Ploughs. The spreaders are full specification c/w with all the latest innovations and technologies available, such as automated spreading, live tracking, rear chevron board for high-speed spreading & ploughing and HD CCTV.

On Friday 4th August, we invited all at Romaquip to bring in their children for a fun-filled afternoon to help us decorate our soapboxes for the Crinkill Soapbox Race.

Last week on a beautiful summers day Romaquip Ltd. were delighted to host engineering students & teachers from St. Brendan’s Community School Birr.
The tour provided an opportunity for the students and teachers to see first-hand some of the exciting design and engineering developments which we are currently working on.
It is with deep regret that that we announce the passing of our founder and managing director Mr. John McKeown.
John fought a long battle against cancer for many years and died peacefully at his home on the 02nd May 2023 surrounded by his family.

Prior to the winter season Romaquip Ltd. supplied 4no. tipper bodies, Ultima II demount spreaders & Snow ploughs mounted on Volvo Trucks FE 6x4 chassis to the Department of Infrastructure NI.
The tipper bodies were a bespoke design to suit the specific requirements of the customer and include many new innovations and safety designs.
The new Ultima II demount spreader fleet are a mixture of pre-wet & dry spreaders and are designed to fit seamlessly into the tipper to allow the operator to quickly load the spreader and have it ready for operation within minutes.

Prior to the Winter Season, Romaquip supplied Vale of Glamorgan Council with their first batch of a new fleet of spreaders and ploughs.
This batch consisted of 3no. permanent mount dry spreaders mounted on Volvo FE 6x4 chassis c/w Snow Ploughs.
National Highways are and it’s all thanks to Romaquip Ltd. as we will soon complete the supply of a new fleet of winter maintenance vehicles.
Since 2018 we have supplied National Highways with a new fleet of 443 gritters and snow ploughs mounted on chassis procured from Volvo Trucks.
Our director Stephen McKeown was recently invited to Irish Commercials to meet the current President of Volvo Trucks Mr. Roger Alm.

We are exhibiting at the OWL Live Wales Exhibition on Thursday 31st March in Voco St. David's, Cardiff.
We will be exhibiting at the Irish Waste Management Conference in the Hogan Suite, Croke Park, Dublin on Thursday 10th March.
The event is hosted by the Irish Waste Management Association (IWMA) and CIWM Republic of Ireland Centre.
Recently we had the privilege of hosting some students from the Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board.
The students are studying a welding and fabrication course provided by the LOETB.
Another new fleet of Romaquip Ultima II Gritters are rolling of the production line weekly on their way to the South Wales Trunk Road Agent (SWTRA).
A total of 27 new Romaquip Ultima II gritting vehicles will be delivered to SWTRA this year, 19 of which have already been dispatched and will add to their current fleet of 13 Romaquip gritters which were delivered in 2020 & 2021.

Another fleet of Romaquip Ultima II gritters are rolling out across the UK this season.
A total of 120 new Romaquip Ultima II gritting vehicles will be delivered to National Highways this year and will add to their Romaquip fleet of 191 vehicles which have already been delivered since 2018, with another 132 due for delivery next year as part of a two year roll out.

NEW PRODUCT: Introducing the latest vehicle to join our Winter Maintenance product offering, the Romaquip Ultima II fully automatic full wet spreader c/w motorway snow plough. Designed to be the most cost effective and reliable full wet unit available. The spreader has a capacity of 16,000 litres and can spread at a rate of up to 40grams.
