Last week on a beautiful summers day Romaquip Ltd. were delighted to host engineering students & teachers from St. Brendan’s Community School Birr.
The tour provided an opportunity for the students and teachers to see first-hand some of the exciting design and engineering developments which we are currently working on.
It is with deep regret that that we announce the passing of our founder and managing director Mr. John McKeown.
John fought a long battle against cancer for many years and died peacefully at his home on the 02nd May 2023 surrounded by his family.

The all new Romaquip Kerb-Sort Demonstration vehicles are completed and ready for action!
Our two new demo vehicles, 7.5t Kerb-Sort mounted on a ISUZU chassis and our larger Kerb-Sort mounted on a DAF chassis can be seen on the roads around the UK.
These two vehicles are fully kitted out with all our latest designs and innovations to complement the features which our customers have come to rely on to ensure their vehicles are always performing at their optimum collection potential.
The glass collection crews in Carmarthenshire County Council have really been working their new Romaquip glass collection vehicles to their limits since the roll out on the 23rd of January.
The hard-working crews have collected almost 90 tonnes of glass to date, great achievement in such a short time period.
What a great first week of glass collections in Carmarthenshire County Council. The new Romauip fleet was deployed for the first time on Monday and were out on collections all week.
These new collections by Carmarthenshire County Council will help save energy needed to create new glass, reduce air pollution by 20% over making new glass, reduce water pollution by 50% over making new glass and conserve our natural resources.
Introducing the newest member of our Kerb-Sort fleet, the full glass collection Kerb-Sort.
Last week Carmarthenshire County Council took delivery of ten of these new vehicles and all went out on their first successful collections this morning.
This bespoke Kerb-Sort is specifically designed and manufactured to suit the collection requirements of our customer. Glass is loaded at the side of the vehicle and the self-discharge rear tipping allows the glass to be safely unloaded from the cab without any damage to the tyres.
Congratulations to our Kerb-Sort customers and the residents of Pembrokeshire County Council, Conwy County Borough Council & Vale of Glamorgan Council on achieving record recycling rates during 2021/2022. These figures just released maintain Wales’ status as the highest-performing UK nation and one of the world’s best recyclers.
The authorities mentioned above along with other Councils in Wales all use Romaquip Ltd. Kerb-Sort vehicles which have multiple compartments for source segregation of waste at Kerb-Side.

What a day last week in Colwyn Bay... the sun was shining on the day Conwy County Borough Council received the first of a new fleet of Romaquip Ltd. RQ-E Kerb-Sort Recycling Vehicles.
The Romaquip team including Stephen McKeown & Matt Patanden were in Conwy Borough Council to hand over the keys to the first fully electric Kerb-Sort, the RQ-E, to go into full operation on collection routes. When fully completed the Conwy fleet will consist of seven fully electric RQ-E vehicles.

Romaquip recently supplied a new fleet of 17no. Kerb-Sort recycling vehicles to East Lothian Council.
Using a bespoke designed Kerb-Sort the new service started last year and provides a weekly collection of a range of recyclable materials from more than 54,000 households across East Lothian.

We will be exhibiting at the Irish Waste Management Conference in the Hogan Suite, Croke Park, Dublin on Thursday 10th March.
The event is hosted by the Irish Waste Management Association (IWMA) and CIWM Republic of Ireland Centre.
Recently we had the privilege of hosting some students from the Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board.
The students are studying a welding and fabrication course provided by the LOETB.

A few months ago, Romaquip supplied a new fleet of Kerb-Sort Recycling vehicles to East Lothian Council, Scotland. The fleet is a mixture of our standard 5.0m Kerb-Sort mounted on a DAF 12t Chassis and our new 7.5t Kerb-Sort mounted on a 7.5t ISUZU chassis.
The new fleet of 17no. vehicles went into full operation at the beginning of November and already the Council and the local residents are realising the benefits of using their new Romaquip vehicles.
